Background
Dr Alexander Turbayne is a dual-trained gastroenterologist and general physician who has worked in Canberra for over a decade. He works in both the private and public health sectors in the ACT.
Training and teaching
He grew up in Canberra and received his Bachelor of Medical Science and subsequently his Medical Degree from the Australian National University. He also holds a Graduate Certificate of Clinical Teaching from the University of Melbourne and is a current clinical lecturer with the Australian National University Medical School.
Clinical interests
His areas of clinical interest are inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, coeliac disease, bowel cancer screening, dysbiosis, autoimmune diseases, dysautonomias and diagnostic dilemmas.
His non-clinical interests include tennis and rugby.
